Boarding House Life

Routines and procedures at Collège du Léman are designed to help students structure their days so they can make the most of the school’s academic and extracurricular opportunities. Collège du Léman gives boarding students their choice of a variety of activities that encourage leadership and good behaviour.

In High School, students’ after-school activities are divided into periods. Junior students (Grades 9 and 10) have three periods of organised activity, while senior students (Grades 11 and 12) replace one organised activity with an afternoon outing to Geneva.

Junior Students After-School Requirements
  • Three periods of organised activity per week
  • Five periods of supervised study hall per week
  • One period of “free” time per week
  • One period to spend pocket money

Senior Students After-School Requirements
  • Two periods of organised activity per week
  • Five periods of supervised study hall per week
  • One period of “free” time per week
  • One-period afternoon outing to Geneva
  • One period to spend pocket money

Friday Night Outings
High School students also enjoy Friday night outings to Geneva. Students ride Collège du Léman buses both ways, with junior students leaving Geneva at 8:30 p.m. and senior students returning at 9:30 p.m. Friday night outings are considered a privilege and may be revoked for students with poor behaviour or substandard academic results.
